Whichever category you fall into, surveys indicate that 80% of us think that we're above average drivers and that accidents only happen to others, yet we all know someone whose life has been changed for ever as a result of a road accident.
National accident statistics for private car users show that 1 in 5 drivers makes an insurance claim each year, while for those who drive at work it is as high as 1 in 3. We must all improve our road safety performance - certainly we must aim to be better than the national average, with the ultimate aim being to approach zero accidents.

Defensive Driving is the art of avoiding preventable accidents.. It is a deliberate, skilful and responsible driving technique admired by others. As a defensive driver you are able to anticipate and control situations to reduce accident risk.
An Advanced Driver is equipped with the knowledge and skill to drive safely and effectively in all conditions.
Advanced Drivers are 25% less likely to be involved in an accident.
